Orlando B. Thompson Jr. is the Chief Executive Officer of Tanauan Continental LLC. Orlando, a retired firefighter, has been in public safety for over 27 years in United States Air Force and The Department of Defense.

 

Since joining the Dept. of Defense in 2000, Orlando has had the distinct honor to serve in the fire service in the promotional ranks of Fire Lieutenant, Fire Captain, Chief Fire Officer, and Assistant Fire Chief.

 

Orlando has many years of fire protection experience in the military, federal, and contract fire protection under USAF and USA projects. SME in airfield Management, structural fire hazardous, hazardous materials operations emergency response, plan development, fire prevention, training, and exercise design and evaluation. He has trained in confined space and CBRNE.  

 

He has working knowledge of staffing requirements for small and large-scale organizations and remote outlying sites of responsibility. Oversaw various service operations including the hiring of personnel to include validating positions, training of personnel, and departmental human resources

 

He has also taught the International curriculum for the American Heart Association to include BLS Provider, Heartsaver CPR/AED, Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED, Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED, and Heartsaver for K-12 Schools, Heartsaver First Aid Only, and Heartsaver Blood borne Pathogens. In addition, he is certified and qualified in the following.

           

Orlando is currently pursuing the National Board Fire Service Professional Qualification in Fire Inspector III and Plans Review, endlessly seeking continuing education in fire prevention and training on protection systems, suppression system, detection systems and notification systems.

 

In addition, he holds a Master of Science in Emergency Services Management, Master of Science in Information Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Fire Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Religion.
